It is our spiritual obligation to strive to live according to the teachings and truths of Jesus Christ as we find illumination along the path of righteousness. Through our diligence of living our live dedicated to our Heavenly Father - the light of Christ empowers us to overcome the darkness that is within us. Through Christ, we overcome the darkness of our own personal shame and guilt we've carried for so long. It brings us through the swamp of despair and depression. His light gives us a way to find love and peace where there is emptiness and a sense of feeling abandoned.

True Life and Light
Since Christ is the true life and light of humanity - it reveals those good qualities that lie within me. How I choose to use this truth determines the way my life is led. Yet, it is quite easy to get caught up in my own thoughts and worry about how I am living for myself rather than focusing on how I am living through Christ. Either I am falling into the past regrets, shame, and guilt that I refuse to lay down. Or I am living in the future and worrying about the possibilities that cause distraction to the reality of what is happening in the present.
Receiving Personal Revelation
A genuine mindful and crucified Christian life is one where we are able to receive divine revelation from our Heavenly Father. Sometimes we are warned of things. Other times we are guided to minister to others. Other times, we may be guided to make a decision that is not one we had thought of on our own. Such experience only comes to those who are active in their fellowship with following Christ. Fellowship with others who are also seeking Christ and following Him. Sacrificing our own time and talents for the Kingdom of God and glorifying our Heavenly Father.
“…As He Considered These Things…”
Like Joseph - our desire is to do the right thing. And sometimes that right thing requires some risk on our part. Living a mindful and crucified life is not about making the right decisions - it is about considering those things we desire and want to do and how our actions have significant implications on the lives of those around us. This is the conundrum of Joseph. Should he divorce her the way Jewish Law required? Which will place her in public shame? After all, he still loved her and was concerned for her own well-being. Would it have been better to do so quietly so as to save her from such public shame? Is it really something he truly wanted to do?
Come Follow Me – A Call to Personal Discipleship
The cost of personal discipleship where we come unto Christ and follow Him is a journey that is difficult, rugged, and quite challenging. Yet, there is great abundance of spiritual growth, knowledge, guidance, and wisdom. Strength is drawn from the Savior himself as our sure foundation. A personal discipleship where we come to know, and appreciate, the attributes of our Heavenly Father. Come to know Christ, whom the Father has sent. Being transformed into the image and likeness of Christ. This is because the teachings of Jesus Christ - His Doctrine, His Gospel - requires personal scrutiny of self. It invites careful examination and study. It maintains genuine personal reflection and inspection of our attitude and beliefs necessary for genuine discipleship.
